M/s Kailas Cashew Exports was started in 1995 at Ezhukone in Kollam, the cashew city of the world for the processing raw cashew nuts and to export cashew kernels and its value added products as a humble beginning with 2 cashew factories. Sri Somarajan shows his inborn talents to develop his concerns by taking appropriate steps in all stages of Production to satisfy the indigenous and export demands. Now he is one of the major exporters of his owned Kailas and Nila Palace brand sun kissed cashew kernels and plain cashew products to UK, USA, Europe and the rest of the world. The concern is a proprietary Two star rated Export House having local and global clientele in value added cashew kernels.
At present Kailas is an internationally reputed cashew processing and export unit with dedicated employees according to their skill and contribution to the production process and equipped to meet any unforeseen demand from anywhere in the world. Government of India had certified the organization as a Two Star export house vide certificate No B-000416 dated 19-06-2009 and valid up to 31-03-2017. M/s Kailas is also registered member of various prestigious bodies like Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (Reg No CEPC: EA : CRT: 648/96 dated 29-05-2001), an organization that prescribed world accepted standards for cashew kernels and the Federation of Indian Exports Organization ( FIEO) Reg . No being FIEO /SR/2000-2001/3031/MPG dt.24-10-2000). The industry maintained best quality at all levels of the production processes and has accredited with IS/ISO 9001: 2000 HACCP system as per IS/15000:1998 vide Licence No. MSC/ L- 6003832.1 in 2003.
Kailas Cashew exports own and operate several cashew processing units at various locations in and around Kollam & Alappuzha districts and provides direct support to about 3500 workers in rural areas of the districts and the workers are provided with all amenities as per statutory norms. The promoter has also running a modern packing centre with international processing and packing facilities and standards. He has also diverted his line of activity by entering into the hospitality sector and started a Luxury hotel named as Nila Palace at Cheerankavu in 2004
